I specialise in health, mental health, eye health, learning disability and pregnancy issues and I write across the entire spectrum of print and digital publications: I write for consumer magazines, parenting websites, membership and client publications, trade magazines and specialist journals.
I regularly write up research studies, interview specialists and identify the news stories in wider research.
I’ve written about child cancer survivors for the Guardian Family page, and the prospects for young adults with learning disabilities for You magazine.
At the other end of the spectrum I’ve explained the spread of inner-city tuberculosis to health visitors and the nuances of working with an inner-city Pakistani community to learning disability nurses. I've written about customers with autism for pharmacists, on how GPs should accommodate patients with visual impairments, and on how hospital consultants can have conversations with dying patients.
